Help A Child Smile: An organization dedicated to bringing smiles to the faces of children facing cancer who are treated at McMaster Children’s Hospital

We are always looking for people to either lead or assist in annual fundraising. We are also looking for new fundraising ideas, and people to lead them through a committee in their own community. For example, HACS holds an annual event in Welland (our founding city) on the Saturday of Labour Day Weekend. The day starts with a pancake breakfast, games and carnival for kids, entertainment all day finishing up with a steak barbq and evening dance. The event is held at Club Richelieu (outdoors). HACS would like to grow a similar event in the major centres where our kids live (Guelph, Kitchener/Cambridge, Simcoe, Hamilton). We invite anyone interested in “growing” this event to their community to join us on Saturday, September 5, 2009. Then, with the help of new volunteers, we can plan an amazing 2010!
